Heroku has very wide support, you can deploy most types of applications super easily, including python/java/ruby/go. Pretty much all languages follow a basic model of build and run, though how the build is done is variable. It's great and it's very successful. The only reason Heroku is not more widespread is because they're charging $50 per unit (roughly a CPU or a GB of memory), which makes it prohibitively expensive for most workloads.
