I have a few hundred cds with games. Still keeping an old ms dos machine to play them.

  Isn't it easier just to run an emulator? I grew up with an Amiga 500, and had hundreds of floppy disks, but it's slow, error prone, noisy, cant freeze arbitrary state or fast forward ... I find the emulator is better in every way
