deadbeef (https://github.com/DeaDBeeF-Player/deadbeef https://github.com/DeaDBeeF-Player/deadbeef) tries to be a foobar2k clone of sorts, and while it's nowhere close (foobar2k is just really damn good), it's alright for what it is: a basic GUI playlist manager that plays on-disk music. The bare-bones experience is kind of nice, to be honest, as my listening habits don't really need much functionality beyond "load a folder of music, respond to media key inputs, and scrobble to last.fm".
