Hmmmmm In all seriousness, this is rather interesting. Fungus can cause chronic nasal irritation. Nasal nitric oxide (a naturally-generated fungicide) increases 15- to 20-fold by humming compared with quiet exhalation. It's a small dataset, but an interesting hypothesis/finding. I was hoping it'd be more applicable to my situation (exercise-induced rhinitis).
