Fond memories of POKEing hand-assembled Z-80 code (LDIR, baby!) from TRS-80 BASIC...
- reaperducer 6y agoI thought the TRS-80 line was 6809 and 8085. Are one of those a cousin to the Z-80, or were there TRS-80's with a real Z-80 in them?
- abbeyj 6y agoTandy used the "TRS-80" name for many of their computer lines, even when they used completely different architectures. The original TRS-80 ("Model I"), the TRS-80 Model III, and the TRS-80 Model 4 all used a Z80. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRS-80 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRS-80 The TRS-80 Color Computer ("CoCo") used the 6909. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRS-80_Color_Computer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRS-80_Color_Computer The portable TRS-80 Model 100 used an 8085. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRS-80_Model_100 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRS-80_Model_100
- reaperducer 6y agoOh, right. I forgot about the I through 4. I'm not sure why, since the Model 4 was the first machine I ever played Zork on. Such a great beast.
