Hey HN!
During the past few months, I've been the solo dev on a new app to help foster a remote team culture. Unicorn Train is a fun way for teammates to recognize and reward each other for doing great things. It currently integrates with Slack and GitHub, with many more integrates to come. It's built using Ruby on Rails on the backend, Tailwind on the frontend, and is hosted on Heroku.
Any and all feedback is welcome :)
Cheers!
- omnifollow 6y agoThe landing page is beautiful - it says you used shopify for this? In terms of the product, I would feel uncomfortable using this in a job setting, but to support engagement in a less "traditional" work environment like an incubator slack channel would be really cool.
- bradmil 6y agoThat's right, the marketing site and blog were built using a custom Shopify theme. For sure, this app is geared more towards dev teams and startups instead of formal workplaces, where having fun on Slack is tolerated :D
- XCSme 6y agoI want to lick the landing page. Jokes aside, I think the landing page is too pretty, and I can't focus on the content, I enjoy more just admiring it.
