- Quarrelsome 6y agoWe still use it in tech to loosely describe programmers that don't genuinely have a love or deep understanding of the craft.
- WalterSear 6y agoI've seen it mostly used to describe male programmers that people don't like.
- Quarrelsome 6y agoI'm going to assume you're missing the 90's context where programmers began to be social as well as technical. This led to the accidental inclusion of people that were merely social without technical skills, thus: bros.
