  Just went with wikipedia's number for my hometown. The city pop is 3k, but the county is only 16k, for an area of 450 square miles. I did not grow up in city limits, and the area was less than half the population back then. Just was trying to give some very conservative numbers. More than happy to meet more yokels like me :)
