As a high school teacher, I firmly believe that the person/org that can bridge the gulf between standardized testing [high trust/high cost/rare] and classroom assessment [low trust/sunk cost/extremely extensive] will command an extremely important and lucrative position. The work of assessment is already being done millions of times each day by classroom instructors. We simply can’t trust the results.
