- adammunich 6y agoExtreme weather kills crops. We can't air condition our way out of that one.
- 2OEH8eoCRo0 6y agoI have money. I can afford whatever the cost of food rises to.
- Gravityloss 6y agoTrue, this is the argument of a best selling book going around now. Isn't so fun being a subsistence farmer in deteriorating conditions.
- eznat 6y ago>Isn't so fun being a subsistence farmer in deteriorating conditions. I would tell you that I don't care, but then I would be called a troll, despite mine being the mainstream position.
- Gravityloss 6y agoIt's more honest. If climate change will kill millions, and I'm causing it, the reaction earlier was to say "The science of climate change is false".
- pjc50 6y ago.. this does sound like somebody from the "before" of a country where people bring wheelbarrows of devalued currency to exchange for bread.
- jlokier 6y agoHaha! An optimist! If a million people have "money" but there's enough food for 900,000 people, you're going to find the price rises to just a bit more than you can afford. No matter how much money you have, the price will rise to more. See sibling comment about wheelbarrows full of devalued currency.
- roenxi 6y agoFood, ironically unlike money, grows in trees. It cannot be magicked into existence and there is a very high risk that there aren't enough people with guns to stop starving mobs. If things go wrong you'll need a better plan than "I have money". If food supplies literally run out, money will be worthless.
- 2OEH8eoCRo0 6y agoI was being sarcastic but I do live in a rural area "near" the food that I eat.
- kimjongtrill 6y agoThis is the modern way. Someone else’s problem as long as mine are solved. SMH we are never getting better enjoy the dying planet while you can.
- CalRobert 6y agoYou created an account 3 hours ago just to say this?
- mempko 6y agoThey will become unbearable for billions of people in your life time. Maybe not where you live, but literally billions of people. Will you welcome some of them into your home?
