Scrolling is stealing our time.
People in the 21st century need to process huge volumes of information in order to effectively manage the processes of life.
The larger these volumes, the more often there is a need to remember where you saw some interesting article or flip through the correspondence in search of an important message.
It really takes a lot of time to reread yesterday's conversations to find what was important. And also remember where you saw the key information if you forgot to save it to yourself.
Have you faced the same difficulties in your life, and is it important for you to solve this problem?
- dlcmh 6y agoDefinitely a time waster. Had to build my own private service to bookmark Twitter / YouTube items for later browsing & searching.
- bidka 6y agoHow is it work?
- wsc981 6y agoIt's really annoying to search into Skype history. When searching for something in a discussion a long time ago, it seems you first need to scroll back to make sure the text is somewhere in view and then you can use the search functionality. If the text is not displayed in chat, you cannot search for it. What makes matters worse is that the history reload capability becomes progressivly slower as you have more text history is loaded (and Skype makes use of some infinite scrolling mechanism, so you can't just scroll back to a given year). I'm guessing the Chromium based UI is the issue here, but not sure. So in this very instance, scrolling becomes a huge time waster.
- katvol 6y agoI often face on this problem in my work. It`s impossible to keep everything in my head and I have to scroll in order to find what I need. Until I found a place for myself where it would be in a structured form, it would be cool. Now I use notes on my phone or computer to add information that is important to me, but this doesn`t save my time at all.
- ramboram 6y agoYes * It's harder to find content again * We blindly scroll through posts with no focus and intention. * It just wastes our time
