Whatever behaviours are fit are just the ones that stick around. In, say, the developed world, we have 2 main competitors: have lots of kids, and try to teach them to behave as you do; or have fewer/no kids and try and spread your particular mind-virus to those not carrying it yet.
- SiempreViernes 6y agoOne can always declare some principle to be the holy truth and modify the other terms and concepts into they follow from the holy truth. It is however, a bit hard to explain the emacs vs vim holy war on the basis of natural selection...
- antepodius 6y agoPeople are adaption-executers, not fitness-maximisers. Most gene lines fail.
