If you disable the option allowing Google to track and collect your location data everywhere and everytime, you cannot use this option.
- zw7 6y agoMy workaround for this was to create a shortcut to directions to home: In Google Maps on Android: 1. Search for your home address and click "Directions" 2. Click on 3-dot menu (hamburger button?) next to origin and destination 3. Select "Add route to Home screen" to create shortcut
- seattledev 6y agoIt also disables the ability to view weather on my phone at a glance or button press. I have to Google "city name weather"
