It was impossible for me to spend 8 hours a day in front of a screen until the end of the 90s. I still have a 1999 CRT monitor and I don't have that problem. This feeling of pain in my eyes is something I wouldn't want to experience anymore. There are times when I miss my dot matrix printer.
