- JPLeRouzic 6y agoIt can be prevented by diet and exercise, it can be managed by different means including diet, but IMO there is still no cure for Type 2 Diabetes. https://www.webmd.com/diabetes/guide/is-there-a-diabetes-cure https://www.webmd.com/diabetes/guide/is-there-a-diabetes-cur...
- viraptor 6y agoAlso it's one thing to say something is preventable/curable with exercise and another to say what's your plan that will cause a significant number of people to start exercising.
- LinuxBender 6y agoThere are many people that have completely reversed T2D with fasting and a combination of healthy keto/paleo, metformine or berberine and in some cases, 5DFMD (5 day fast minicing diet) done every month for a year. There are numerous doctors and nutritionists that have youtube videos covering the science behind reversing the insulin resistance, then clearing the fat out of the pancreas and liver, then restoring pancreas functionality. The biggest challenge for people is sticking to those plans. 5DFMD is not easy and some people are not in a condition to do it.
- JPLeRouzic 6y agoWell I suppose it depends on what one assume to be a reliable source. It is indeed astonishing to find so many claims by doctors that they can heal people from dreadful diseases with simple life style tips and natural products. I think specifically of extraordinary claims that are contrary to the medical consensus: heal people of metastatic cancer, reverse diabetes, reverse ALS, etc.. Personally I do not trust such doctors, there are too many of those who had later died from cancer themselves! But ultimately it is a personal choice to find which criterias could be used to evaluate risks.
