I'm 50% through Code right now. How is Designing for Data Intensive Applications? What would you say was the most valuable thing you got from it?
- whytaka 6y agoDesigning for Data Intensive Applications is a must-read imo. The book is chock full of very straight forward explanations of what happens in data-related operations, from DB transactions to stream processing. The most valuable thing(s) I got from it are clear explanations of Transactions, Isolation Levels, and examples of errors that occur due to asynchronous operations.
