This is a rant against freely available junk news, that the author is calling “pink slime journalism.” Might be a valid issue, but the conflict of interest inherent in a traditional journalist raging against “free news” is difficult to get past. The authors also ignore the curatorial problems of only reading the WSJ, NYT, etc. Pink slime may be junk food, but only eating tofu isn’t much better.
