IBM Execute Spin-Off of Managed Infrastructure Services Unit
- speeder 6y agoCan someone explain to me what exactly IBM is splitting here? What the spun-off company does that main IBM won't do? Seemly IBM will focus on "hybrid cloud" that is mixing cloud services with mainframes... And the spun-off company will take care of upgrading people TI, including selling mainframes? I am understanding something wrong here?
- DebtDeflation 6y agoThink of IBM as: - Hardware - Software/Cloud - Services Within "Services" you have everything from business/management consultants to application development teams to people who support IT infrastructure for clients as part of outsourcing arrangements. It's that last group, Infrastructure Support, that is being spun off.
