I think the manufacturer of this product intended it to be a gag gift, similar to blowup dolls and the like. Possibly a kickstarter that became a victim of it's own success? Anyone who willingly places their genitals into a locking device has bigger problems than getting the device hacked, and anyone who is with someone who would want to have their partner wear one of these or any other chastity device has even bigger problems. It is unfortunate if people had to suffer through getting this thing removed with an angle grinder(Yikes!) but after watching some emergency room tv shows it isn't outside the realm of possibility.
