I see people trying to recycle pizza boxes all the damn time. I just shake my head.
Most people don't know how to properly separate their garbage.
We would be better off if everyone just produced less trash full stop.
Why is everything in the super market wrapped in plastic 2-3 times?
- Waterluvian 6y agoYou can’t recycle pizza boxes where you are? It’s corrugated cardboard right? That stuff recycles well I thought. They just slurry it down to a mash and reconstitute paper or whatever.
- dahart 6y agoOils from the cheese make cardboard non-recyclable.
- KozmoNau7 6y agoEven worse, it can ruin an entire processing batch because the grease ruins the quality of the resulting cardboard stock.

- jeromegv 6y agoAny food / grease contaminates the recycling process heavily. If your pizza box is empty and never touched food, sure, but more likely than not, trash it.
