Show HN: I built a tool that summarizes your online meetings
- kraajkumar 6y agoHi everyone, I’m the founder of Sonero. The idea came out of the pandemic after companies shifted to remote work and Zoom, Teams, etc. for meetings at a scale never seen before. I thought this provided a great opportunity to surface key insights from meetings automatically. Happy to answer any questions and hear your thoughts and feedback!
- zerop 6y agoHow is it better than otter.ai. they do same thing. Does your zoom integration let you download my meetings audio for transcription. How long does it take to get meeting insights.
- kraajkumar 6y agoReally good questions! The main value prop with Sonero is the summarization aspect rather than the transcription itself. So the idea is that all the important info is extracted automatically. For example, what's the next action item, who owns that action item, when is it due, what important questions were asked, etc. All this is surfaced automatically without you having to go through the transcript or the recording. With Otter, you get some summary keywords but that's it. You have to go through the full transcript and then tag/highlight/search for what you want manually. Their main focus seems to be with their transcription and live captioning process instead. Yep, that's how the zoom integration works. After your meeting is done, Sonero downloads the video/audio from Zoom and starts processing. As soon as the recording is available for processing, it takes about half the duration of the recording to get the insights.
