Are solar panels considered cutting edge? I've had some installed almost a decade ago and it was nothing special. I would be 100% shocked if I payed $25k today

Are solar panels considered cutting edge? I've had some installed almost a decade ago and it was nothing special.
I would be 100% shocked if I payed $25k today only to have my roof destroyed and find out it was their first time deploying a solar panel.
- wmantly 6y agoTesla "solar roof" are not panels, the roofing tiles them selves are solar and it looks like a normal roof. Its also suppose to last longer then panels.
