Congress releases blockbuster tech antitrust report
- zepto 6y agoBasically seems like a report designed to justify Elizabeth Warren’s populist policy. This seems like an ideologically driven move rather than an analytical/pragmatic one. For example if US companies are forced to separate markets from services but other countries companies are not, it just seems like a way to damage the country’s influence over technology. I’m not against the idea of intervention - e.g. forcing certain kinds of openness, but I believe it must be done through principled laws that apply to every company rather than targeting particular companies via antitrust.
