This is why if you're in the Rails world, I'll always recommend Hatchbox [0]. It takes the PaaS layer from Heroku and applies it to generic nodes on DO or AWS - I'm grandfathered into a really good plan price, but even as it stands today, if you're building Rails apps, it's a great option.
