Which... can already be done today?
- matz1 6y agoyes but this will further encourage it.
- koluna 6y agoIf someone is keen on cost-cutting through outsourcing, they already don’t have an incentive to bring someone in and pay benefits. This is a false narrative.
- matz1 6y agoit possible that someone keen on cost-cutting through outsourcing but didn't do it because it still affordable enough to bring someone in but now with the higher cost to bring someone in, they will chose to outsource instead.

- matz1 6y ago>the American is out of a job regardless yes if the American can't find their competitive edge.
- ajsnigrutin 6y agoHow can you, an american, with a family, mortgage, car payments etc., compete financially with someone from a "shithole country", who's willing to work for very little money and live on a bunk bed with 7 roommates in a two bedroom living container? (literal situation currently in my company)
- matz1 6y agoLife is about trade off, if the American want to be paid more in order to have all that then they better provide more value for their employer compared to someone from "shithole country"
- mrkstu 6y agoThe question is really why a voter would vote for representatives that would allow for that situation to occur in the first place?
- matz1 6y agoWhatever situation you vote for there always a trade off.
- ajsnigrutin 6y agoBut why would it be in any voters interest, for the government to let cheaper workers in, that bring the wages down?
- matz1 6y agosome voters may be interested in the reduced business cost by the ability to hire cheaper worker.
