Cool! I've been using libinput-gestures for a while now as a hackish way to accomplish multitouch gestures. It's easy to use and works well if anyone wants this functionality without waiting

- Fnoord 6y agoI've tried this with an Apple Magic Trackpad 2 (the best stand-alone trackpad/touchpad available). It doesn't work smooth. It is very strict on the gestures (low fault tolerance?), unlike the very same device within a MBP (2015) on macOS. I wonder about this though. To me it seems this is very important to get to work for alternative Linux-based smartphone OSes such as SFOS, pmOS, UT, PureOS, etc etc.
- ktm5j 6y agoYes I agree about the smoothness issues, however you can really improve things by adding the line `timeout 0` to your ~/.config/libinput-gestures.conf to set the threshold to the lowest setting. The comments here are from the end of their example config https://github.com/bulletmark/libinput-gestures/blob/master/libinput-gestures.conf https://github.com/bulletmark/libinput-gestures/blob/master/...: ############################################################################### # You can set a timeout on gestures from start to end. The default is # the value commented below. It can be any value in float secs >= 0. # 0 = no timeout. E.g. set it to 2 secs with "timeout 2". timeout 0
- duhi88 6y agoHave you tried this with Apple's Magic Trackpad or al=ny other bluetooth trackpads?
