Living in Paris. Never heard of "cacounet" as a word for poop.
- pvg 6y agoYou probably won't regularly hear 'pooplet' in most English-speaking cities and it still sounds like a diminutive of 'poop'.
- simias 6y agoBut to me the similar construction in French would be "cacaounet" and not "cacounet" which doesn't really evoke feces to me, just "a small cacou" whatever that'd mean. ... why are we arguing about this again?
- elcomet 6y agocacounet is a contraction of cacaounet, which is harder to pronounce.
- elcomet 6y agoIt's mostly used by mom for babies I think.
