Time to invest into open source smart devices which work fully offline. We have Vosk for offline speech recognition, there is TensorflowTTS with very good synthesis quality even on mobile phones. NLU and dialog management is also not a big problem. Interesting if there are projects to create a local internet snapshot to cache/hide search queries effectively.
