Google and Palantir Are Two Sides of the Same Coin

• mgh2 6y ago
On Palantir's careers site, they are expanding to Japan and possibly to work with US allies in the future. Using data for national security rather than selling it to advertisers seems nobler to me. Technology can be used to create either harmony or chaos. Palantir uses this for public protection (harmony) while Google is becoming a spreader for misinformation with ads (chaos)- similar to Facebook.

    >Using data for national security rather than selling it to advertisers seems nobler to me. Yeah the allies see that probably a bit different. BTW i'm quite sure that google made more for the NSA then palantir itself (thru android) BTW2 And about misinformation, it's not like the government tells you always (sometimes?) the truth...you know like that Iraq incident, and thousand more examples.

Harmony:order. Of course it depends on how this tech is used- if it is CCP’s hands then it will be different

        >Harmony:order Are you talking about the US here?

Its almost like you know what the reality is, of Google working with the US and NATO allies for decades now, but choose to spin a story that compares ads to what FB is doing.
