"John MacFarlane announced the company's shift to streaming music services and voice control instead of local playback" That's all fine and best of luck with the pivot. What is has made me despise the Sonos company and culture is that they effectively forced pre-pivot customers who bought Sonos products (which were designed and sold primarily for local playback) to make that pivot also or else have their devices bricked.
