How different things could be if municipalities could run deficits?
Municipal bonds are almost like student loans in the US.
- bradlys 6y agoI think there is another article about a road being constructed for $30 mil or something absolutely crazy when it’s not needed at all (and the road would fall apart before they could repay the loan). The basic gist I got was: when loans become more available, things start getting constructed when they aren’t needed at all and costs balloon fast. Like student loans, easier access means they can charge more.
