Even though my job is in tech, tech is hardly the only market that innovates For example banking, finance and insurance is more advanced and innovative in Europe than in US Other fields of innovation where Europe leads are: green economy and energy production, small and medium sized businesses development, education, human resources, pharmaceutical products (mainly drug development, especially smart drugs as they are called) They are not equally capitalized as US tech giants, but that just mean that investment in Europe is more widespread than centralised and many smaller companies receive funding instead of a few very big ones
