Into Great Silence
- dredmorbius 6y ago@johntfella: why?
- johntfella 6y agowatched it last night. I enjoyed the directing style of it. also provides some interesting perspective and reflection capabilities. we live in a pretty high speed/high tech society, sometimes nice to just remind ourselves of simpler things.
- dredmorbius 6y agoGiven length and language (German), some positioning would help. As it stands I doubt the piece works well here, though it might well be worthwhile on its own.
- johntfella 6y agoJust depends on the individual. If someone finds it neat, happy I shared. If someone doesnt like it, I get it.
- dredmorbius 6y agoMedia accessibility matters. Text is skimmable. A video that opens with several minutes of silence and a German-language crawl ... not so much. A brief 'splainer, especially on a site such as HN, is a respectful consideration to others. That's what I'm suggesting. Your submissions tend to the unusual, but interesting. Still, communication is an interface between author and reader or speaker and audience. This piece lacks that. In part by design, I get that. Context can still be afforded. I'd hope this would be obvious. Thread muted.
- johntfella 6y agoIt is better to be unusual and misunderstood than to be usual and understood. Unusual and understood is purgatory.
