Something i see glossed over in a lot of conversations about inflation is that inflation doesnt affect all prices equally. Sure housing has gone up significantly but things like electronics and clothing have gotten cheaper and a lot of products like household goods are flat. You cant make apples to apples comparisons by just looking at one slice of the economy
