You seem to believe fewer farmers is better. There are people out who would like to be farmers but can't pull it off because the current system makes it hard to start small and build up.
- andrey_utkin 6y agoDo you realize that if the price of food rises, some people on the low side of the income distribution will starve immediately? Some of them will happen to be the ones dreaming of becoming independent farmers.
- jjk166 6y agoAnd if existing farms become less productive, you need more land and more capital investment to start a farm. When GP talks about more labor being needed for food production, these are not more farmers, these are more field hands and laborers.
