I found a solution using a batch file, launchChrome.bat: :init tasklist /FI "IMAGENAME eq chrome.exe" 2>NUL | find /I /N "chrome.exe">NUL if "%ERRORLEVEL%"=="0" exit /b else START C:\"Documents and Settings"\Karen\"Local Settings"\"Application Data"\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe I then made a shortcut to launchChrome.bat, renamed it "Google Chrome", put it on the desktop, changed the icon, and set it to "Minimised" on launch.
