I don’t know about most of you here, but the people who say “SWYD” to me are women. I always thought it was a feminine thing.
- teawrecks 6y agoI say it more as an alternative to YOLO. Ex. a friend is in town for one night, and I've got a 7am meeting the next day, I say "eh, I'll sleep when I'm dead". Because 50 years from now no one is going to say, " man, remember that time I got adequate sleep before my meeting?" But I could very well say, "man, remember that time you visited and we had a blast?"
- randycupertino 6y agoI think it's gender neutral. All sexes are fallible to get caught up in the 24/7 "crushing it" "work hard, play hard" hype!
