Let us never forget that some people enjoy doing things the hard way, whether it is pragmatic or not. Things are built by people and people will always build their personal idiosyncrasies into their projects. They will over-engineer things to scale that do not actually need to scale.
- jes5199 6y agopeople are often wrong, too. Decisions made "because it will scale later" usually optimize for the wrong thing, and you have some completely other scaling problem that is made worse by the early "optimizations"
