Adam Davidson: This is why I think Trump is doing more than tax avoidance
- lexicality 6y agoInteresting. I assume nothing will come of this because he's both the POTUS and rich enough to avoid complications, but it's still interesting to see how the sausage is made.
- IanDrake 6y agoYeah, he has no adversaries that would use this against him. No one stands up to Trump. I've never seen the news media and an opposition party roll over like this. /s
- lexicality 6y agoYou say that, but given how many people are upset with him and how many literal crimes he has publicly admitted to - has anything happened? He claims to be untouchable and so far it looks like he is.
- IanDrake 6y agoWhich crime has he admitted to specifically?
- lexicality 6y agoHonestly, I don't pay that much attention to American politics since there's enough to be worried about in my country, but iirc he openly admitted to obstruction of justice and to the Ukraine stuff post-impeachment? I'm sure there's been other stuff too, he likes to brag.
- r00tanon 6y agoLaundering money through banks is risky. The better option is to find private sources who are their own banks and not really scrutinized to a high degree. If Trump (idiot) can do this and get away with it, I can only imagine this is a common business model for billionaires that he's simply copied.
- jb1991 6y agoAnd yet money laundering through banks has led to many high-profile scandals in the last couple of years and is quite common.
