Being smart is not enough
- carterklein13 6y agoI have to imagine that in most businesses and startups alike, at least those that survive, it's relatively common knowledge at this point that intelligence is not the critical determinant of a success. It's important if not necessary to be smart, but I think it's pretty ubiquitously agreed upon (especially by the firm this forum stems from) that just having smart people will never [1] make a business successful. [1] never taken loosely, of course. There's certainly still some business models out there (small quant shops come to mind) that thrive mainly through intelligence.
