There is one huge weak point in coding teaching: almost none of places where kids could publish their works. I'm not talking about simple code snippets but something bigger like real desktop, web or mobile application. There are some nice places in game industry, mostly addons for popular games. And besides that - literally nothing. You can easily publish music, video, writing, but not working and ready to use software project.
