Some serious diseases (this was true with the Pandemic of 1918) cause their worst effects, including death, through overreactions of the immune system. Evolution is clever but it's not perfect and regulating biological systems is difficult - even for nature.
- spfzero 6y agoEspecially when those biological systems deviate from ancestral behaviors. By being sedentary, avoiding the outdoors, etc. We are well prepared for one type of life on Earth, we just don’t live that life anymore, but it would be smart to try to, as much as possible.
