It's definitely fairly shady. For what it's worth, they seem to have deleted my account. I say "seems" because I don't recall receiving a confirmation email; my login eventually just stopped working. At any rate, demanding that customers send an email to have their account deleted is ridiculous. Put a damn button in there already. And before any claims are made to the contrary, invoking "security" here is nonsense; if someone hacks my login, having my account deleted is the least of my problems.
