Shirking from home? Staff feel the heat as bosses ramp up remote surveillance
- The_Founder 6y agoGiven time any work place will act to "optimize" what they get out of employees. Trucking is the perfect example. While on the road literally every inch of movement is tracked and every second accounted for. Also a good example because this workforce is extremely replaceable so new hires have little leverage to reject this type of surveillance. The only thing anyone can do to avoid this encroachment is to refuse to work for companies that monitor and unfortunately most workers in the world do not have the luxury to choose where they work.
