Ask HN: What have you learned as your startup adjusted to Covid?
What has gone right or wrong as your startup has adjusted to the COVID pandemic?
Here's an example from my company.
We're a 100% remote company selling services for an open source product. Working from home is status quo for us, hence no transition from COVID. On the other hand, cancellation of in-person conference for open source projects was a big hit. Conferences like Kubecon enable regular physical meetings to connect project stakeholders and keep work aligned. I've learned that these conferences play a fundamental role in maintaining the web of relationships, especially for large ecosystems like Kubernetes and the remote teams that work on them. As Joni Mitchell said, "you don't know what you've got till it's gone."
