- adhamabdelf 6y agoLet’s see :-) I have enough savings to keep me going for 12 months on a tight but doable budget. My savings from my career so far have been mostly spent caring for my family. And I didn’t see a dime from that million dollar job since I quit after 8 weeks. I drive a Honda, live in a 1 bedroom apartment and moved to Austin to avoid high costs of NYC/SF while I do this. So I wouldn’t say it’s because I am wealthy enough :-) granted 12 months of runway is already very good compared to what most people have and I am super lucky to have gotten there.
