Hi, I am working on SeaweedFS. Just saw this. Here is my comparison with MooseFS.
All distributed file systems are similar in many ways. For differences specifically to MooseFS,
1) MooseFS metadata is managed in memory. SeaweedFS metadata is delegated to external data stores, e.g., leveldb, Cassandra, mysql, postgress, Redis, ElasticSearch.
2) SeaweedFS has optimization for large number of small files.
3) SeaweedFS has transparent tier storage to AWS. (more to add)
4) SeaweedFS has an object store, REST API, S3, etc.
