Libertarianism as an ideology wishes to abolish government welfare and return to the system of welfare capitalism that was the prevalent system of the late 19th and early 20th century known as the Gilded Age. We only need look at the things they have on their platform to understand their true intentions. The abolition of Labor Unions, decentralization of money printing, abolition of laws restricting monopolies, ending social security and income tax and demolishing the welfare state. All of these are laws and reforms that were put into place to protect people from debt slavery that was inherent in the system of the company towns.
