But yeah, USCIS processing time is a nightmare. I don’t see where your 240 days comes from. Adjustment of status ? You have 30 days to leave when your I-20 expire.
- vsskanth 6y agoIf you apply for an extension before your visa expires you have 240 days before you become out of status and your stay becomes unauthorized. You then start accruing illegal stay which could lead to bans on future entry to the US.
