The way Arial (or "sans serif" in general) renders by default on Linux has always irked me. It's got annoying proportions, and just seems off. What really sucks is that websites like Wikipedia use it, and you have to suffer reading this horrible font. I'm super-thankful for this post. I'm definitely going to try this out. Thank you again!
